1.Cutting the Components:
The front panel (often called the face) and the back plate (often called the base) are precisely cut using an engraving machine.
The front panel is made of acrylic for high light transmission (to let light through).
The back plate is made of aluminum plastic or PVC.
2.Preparing the Aluminum Sides:
The aluminum coil strip (the sideband) is notched or slotted so it can be bent into the letter shape.
3.Forming the Letter Shell:
The front panel and the aluminum sideband are joined together with strong adhesive to create a three-dimensional, hollow shell (the letter shape).
Strengthening the Shell (Optional but Recommended):
A layer of resin is often poured inside the shell, where the sideband meets the panel, to make the bond stronger.
4.Adding the Lighting:
The LED light source (either light strips or modules) is attached to the back plate.
Final Assembly and Sealing:
The three-dimensional shell is placed over the back plate (with the LEDs).
