What is the Anodized Mirror Aluminum Coil Sheets?
Anodized mirror aluminum (bright aluminum, specular aluminum) is one kind of aluminum with bright surface as mirror, anodized mirror aluminum sheets have an additional electrochemically formed oxide layer on the mirror-finished aluminum surface, while non-anodized ones only have a mirror polish without this protective layer.
Why mirror aluminum coil sheets with anodized?
If you are familiar with the mirror aluminum, you may know that the finish mirror sheet is made by polished, it is more bright and beautiful than anodized mirror sheet, but the surface is easy to get hurt.
Anodizing is equivalent to protection of the finish surface. Generally, the bright surface will be better which is polished first and then through oxidation effect. If the mirror sheet is oxidized, it can have different colors, and it is not easy to get hurt. The anodized mirror aluminum sheets was widely used in lighting reflectors and solar collectors due to its high reflectivity. Surface Film: Each sheet must be covered with a peelable protective film (usually PE or PVC material). Requirements:
Thickness: 0.03-0.05mm (sufficient to resist minor scratches).
Adhesion: Moderate (easy to peel off without leaving residue on the mirror surface).
Function: Anti-fingerprint, anti-dust, and anti-scratch; for anodized mirror sheets, it also prevents temporary oxidation from moisture.
Edge Protection: Use corrugated paper strips, foam sleeves, or plastic edge guards to wrap all four edges of the sheet. Purpose: Avoid edge collisions (which may cause edge chipping or surface cracks).
