Why we use anodized aluminum checker plates ?
This is where anodized aluminum separates itself from standard mill-finish or painted checker plate. Anodization is an electrochemical process that thickens and strengthens aluminum's natural oxide layer.
Key Benefits of Anodizing:
1) Extreme Surface Hardness: The anodized layer is very hard, this makes it highly resistant to abrasion, scratching, and wear. This is the single biggest reason to choose it. A heavy toolbox dragged across it will barely leave a mark.
2) Superior Corrosion Resistance: The anodic layer is much thicker and more stable than aluminum's natural oxide layer, providing vastly improved protection against harsh environments, salt spray, and chemicals.
3) Permanent Color and Finish: The color is not a paint or coating that can chip, flake, or peel. The dye is infused into the porous anodic layer before it is sealed, making the color integral to the material itself. It will not fade from UV exposure, making it perfect for outdoor applications.
4) Easy Cleaning and Maintenance: The hard, non-porous sealed surface is very easy to clean. Dirt, grease, and graffiti cannot penetrate the surface and can be wiped away easily.
5) Aesthetic Appeal: available in various colors (clear, black, bronze, red, blue, etc.) while maintaining the metallic look.
