What is Sarlin Film Aluminum Coil?

Sarlin film aluminum coil (blue Sarlin film) is a multi-layer composite film made of polyethylene and Sarlin polymer with a total thickness of 76 microns. This Sarlin film is firmly coated on the metal surface under high temperature and high pressure in metal factories, effectively helping to protect the metal insulation layer of pipelines in refineries (power plants, chemical plants) from corrosion.

Specifications and Alloy Grades of Sarlin Film Aluminum Coil

Common thicknesses of Sarlin film aluminum coil range from 0.1mm to 1.0mm, and common widths range from 500mm to 1500mm. The alloys used include 1100, 1060, 1050, 3003, and 3004, which have good anti-corrosion and anti-rust properties. Generally, the 1060 grade is most commonly used, accounting for 60-70% of the usage. For coastal projects or environments with strong acid and high corrosion, aluminum-manganese alloys such as 3003, 3A21, and 3004 are selected. How to Prevent Aluminum Coil Oxidation and Corrosion

  1. Do not place aluminum coils in workshops or warehouses with leaking roofs.

  2. Ensure air drying management to keep compressed air free of water.

  3. Use sealed packaging for aluminum foil rolls, and place an appropriate amount of desiccant in each roll.

  4. When moving from low-temperature areas to high-temperature, high-humidity areas, do not immediately open the sealed packaging.

  5. Manage rolling oil to keep its water content below 0.04%.

  6. Ensure the moisture content of the wooden shafts and box boards of the packaging is no more than 18%, and the temperature of the packaged colored aluminum coil is no more than 45°C.
